Post Finals Bliss

Dear jumjum...

We had planned to go clubbing in Lan Kwai Fong on the night of our last paper but unfortunately two of us fell sick so we cancelled. Plan B involved Pat, Rika the Japanese and I playing cards in my (half vacant) room while playing Christmas songs in the background and eating leftover pizza. We were all in a crazy mood and were doing all kinds of silly antics. Let's just say that LKF was missing out on our fancy dance moves. We took some videos as well but they're the kind that people can probably blackmail us with...

The next day we headed to Festival Walk for ICE SKATINGGGG!! So eggcited. My first time ever and I've always wanted to try!

Pat can laugh all she wants but it was very important that I watched skating tutorials on YT the night before! Helped me tons, although I did fall on my right bum once and also once flat on my back. And I looked more like I was ice-walking than skating... I think if you wish to attempt to learn to skate at such an age you'd better be able to laugh at yourself! I had more fun laughing at my own wobbling and slamming into the side of the rink than anything else! =D

Rika's creepy smile....

Tried on this dress at H&M and I wasted 15 minutes in sweat trying to wiggle myself out of it!

On Sunday I brought Hj to St Teresa's, the church I went to with my parents when I first arrived. Then we walked to have some Dim Sum for lunch. On the way we passed by the area around Prince Edward that sells lots of flowers and plants. We also took a walk through the bird garden.

We decided that we'll buy some small plant at the beginning of each semester and let it die while we're back at home so we can buy another one in the next semester! xD

Aggressive parrots with "Beware Bird Bites" signs

This one was so talkative! He was like, lei hou mou? Zhou san zhou san!

Four months in HK and this girl hasn't tried any HK Dim Sum!

Then we headed to Causeway Bay to check out the only Forever 21 outlet in HK- and the whole place was craaaazy packed! Not good not good. Next time we'll have to go on a Monday morning or something.

Fro-yo! So good, although we regretted it when we felt really chilly afterwards...

The whole of Monday morning I spent clearing my things, doing my laundry and "packing" (more like throwing all the stuff into the luggage- feeling very lazy). And now I'm in the airport waitingggggg. I like this airport though- very nice and calm. Feeling under the weather with a super sore throat. Also debating if I should eat something now or have something on the plane hmmmm.  #FirstWorldProblems

Can hardly believe that four months passed by so quickly. Can't wait to see the fam!!!

First Semester Finals

Dear jumjum...

Just random pictures from the study break and the exam weeks. =)

Resolved  to go running every morning but I am ashamed to say that I only went on the first day of study break....and subsequently gained weight thanks to the eat-study-YT-sleep cycle!

Shy dog? LOL otw to my aunt's house for dinner

Groceries for the week...

Apparently UST is a hotspot for taking wedding pics

LIBAH.

My roommate finished her exams way earlier than me so she was leaving early too. And a few days before she left she found out that she had late acceptance into her dream university in Korea. So she ain't coming back no more! =(((( so sudden. She had to leave behind  a lot of things so she gave them to us...

After she left it was REALLY hard for me to study in the room. It just seemed too quiet and lonely! =(

Farewell and take care!

Great Read

Dear jumjum...

Some friends shared this link on FB and I think it's great timing for me and my lazy bum just before finals...

It's Good to Do Good!

Dear jumjum...

One morning I woke up late so I didn't go to lecture with my neighbour, Hj,  like I usually do. When I reached the lecture hall I couldn't see her so I thought she must have slept in, so maybe I should record the lecture for her- but I was in one of my weird agitated, claustrophobic moods and the last thing I wanted was to sit still with my phone recording on my lap, but I did anyway.

As we were exiting the lecture only did I realise that she was sitting somewhere behind me...so I was like, oh, oh well.

THANK GOODNESS I recorded that lecture. It was Chem but a chapter involving some physic-y and mathematic-y stuff which I loathe and could not understand at all. So comforting to hear Prof Li's voice explaining everything in detail again! Hj doesn't really get that part either so she can listen to it too.

So yea. It's good to do good. And may the finals begin! *war mode*

Mass Dance!

Dear jumjum...

So we finally performed on Friday! Jennifer kept saying that after two months of dancing, she couldn't believe that this was it- the moment we've been training for...

So glad Patricia made me join Danso! They made me lose 2 kilos. Not even kidding- I weighed myself. It was crazy intense for me. The first few practices my body and mind were literally shutting down by the last hour of 6 hour-practices. And the last few practices it was like, Meh! Don't even feel sore anymore. It was also the only time when I actually have contact with the locals and the only time I get to learn Canto, even though most of the things I hear are dance-related.

"jun-jun-jun" "fun jun tao" "yao tao hui qi la" "ZHEK SAO AH" "hoi sam di!" "bei di lek la!"

And most of all I had the most enjoyable time dancing!

We had some professional make-up artists helping us get ready...although I didn't really dig how pale she made my face look.

And of course we took as many pictures as possible...

My partner the Taiwanese

The freshmen! Pink headband purple wristband, usually at the bottom of the stage. Messed up a bit at the end though...

  My fav! The graduates:

  Favourite jazz training routine:

UST graduate and our choreographer, 大 Wen, who always remembers to address me in English.

Patriciaaaa came to see us! =D

We didn't eat anything since breakfast at 7.30am, and it was around 3 or 4 when we were done with everything...so after weeks of dieting (for fear of an extra jiggly belly), we went to McD's for tea!!! TEEHEE

Just before removing all that makeup...

Honestly the next day I was suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Kind of an anti-climax... First Saturday in two months when I don't actually have a 6-hour dance practice! Glad I went out with my roommate and these two.
