Revving up our blogs again! =)
Okay so this is in response to Erratic Behaviour's blog post 'To Catch A Fall', http://locomoart.blogspot.com/2012/11/to-catch-fall.html#more
which reminded me of my epic fall in August 2011...
It all started that fateful day when my mum dropped me off at Kuching High's back gate. I was happily striding along with my 100 pound bag and arms full of books and my water bottle, when I saw my friend Sylvester so I looked up and smiled at him.
Right when he smiled back, I realised my left foot was caught in a hole in the slope...and before I knew it I was tumbling forward. Anddd because my arms were occupied, I couldn't break my fall, so I scraped my knees on the rocky pavement.
At first I was just a bit stunned. It wasn't until Diane helped me up to the staff room and saw my bloody knees, and the pain hit me and I cried... I found out later that another girl had fell at the exact same spot a week or so before. When my mum knew about it she was so riled up, she called the principal and made him patch that hole ASAP!

That fall was really a setback for me as my scarless legs were always my pride and joy. It made me very, very self-conscious and I always try to cover them up.
When taking pictures, I would either:-
a. Cover my knees with my hands/ items of clothing
b. point my left knee downwards so the scars are barely visible
And then I realised, screw that! So I have some disgusting scars. So what? It wasn't something I chose to have. And from then on, whenever people start staring at my knee, I happily tell them the story of how I fell =) Ultimately, that fall made my dad a much poorer person because of all the scar creams I buy...heh.
And of course, if all else fails, there's always laser surgery! xD
